The independent Hulme Grammar School in Oldham, Greater Manchester, has launched an outreach programme aimed at strengthening collaborations with local schools, charities, organisations and the local authority, the Oldham Evening Chronicle has reported.

The initiative is part of the Independent Schools Council’s Partnerships Week.

Hulme Grammar School assistant principal (outreach) Dr Chris Millington said: “As part of our mission, we are excited to collaborate with Oldham’s vibrant community.

“This programme is a key step in sharing our resources to support learning beyond our school, helping inspire and support young people in the area.”

Sam Shaw, assistant principal at Briscoe Lane Primary School, one of Hulme’s outreach partners, said: “Our students have benefited from Hulme Grammar’s workshops, from creative writing and poetry sessions to hands-on science experiments that bring learning to life.

“We’re excited to expand this partnership, especially with upcoming collaborations in our forest school, language support, and special educational needs programming.”
