Kent independent school to open SEN centre

Cobham Hall, an independent school in Cobham, Kent, will enrol pupils with special education needs in the new year, Kent Online has reported,

The school is opening a new autism centre called Bligh House, which will feature sensory rooms, quiet areas, a swimming pool and sports hall facilities.

Specialist staff will teach pupils aged from 11 to 16 in smaller class sizes. Pupils will begin to be enrolled from next month with a phased intake of 10 pupils, which will eventually rise to a capacity of 60.

The new centre is a collaboration between Mill Hill Education Group which operates 11 UK schools and one internationally, and Chiltern Way Academy Trust.
