Trust gifts £1.5m to Heathfield School
The Julia Rausing Trust has awarded a £1.5 million grant to Heathfield School in Ascot, Berkshire to fully fund pupils whose parents would not be able to afford the school’s fees.
Heathfield School is an independent boarding and day school for girls aged between 11 and 18.
The late Julia Rausing was a British philanthropist and alumna of Heathfield, who attended Heathfield in the early 1980s. Her husband Hans Rausing established the Julia Rausing Trust earlier this year in her memory.
Heathfield’s headmistress Sarah Rollings said: “We are deeply appreciative of this generous donation made in memory of the remarkable Julia Rausing.
“The Julia Rausing bursary will transform individual life chances and build a movement of inspirational future role models.”
