Charterhouse to open Kazakhstan school
Charterhouse is opening an international school in Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan.
Charterhouse is a boarding school for pupils aged 13 to 18 in Godalming, Surrey.
The school is working in partnership with International Education Corporation, a provider of English-speaking education in Kazakhstan from kindergarten to PhD programmes. Charterhouse Almaty will teach children aged from 11 to 18 years from September next year, with a junior section opening in 2028.
On its website the school stated: “This will be a unique opportunity for parents to enrol their children in a world-class school that will offer the best of contemporary educational thinking with the finest traditions of British independent schooling in this wonderful city.
“Charterhouse Almaty will provide a future-ready, British education that equips young people to study at the most prestigious universities globally as well as take a full and meaningful place in the world outside of education that awaits them.”
