Inspired Learning Group acquires Derby Grammar School
Inspired Learning Group (ILG) has acquired Derby Grammar School, a selective co-educational independent school for children aged from four to 18.
The governors stated that they decided to seek a long-term, sustainable solution to enable Derby Grammar School to continue with its development plans.
The school’s head Paul Logan said: “Visitors to Derby Grammar School are struck by its warmth, family feel and sense of community. Staff are committed to promoting the wellbeing and ensuring excellent all-round intellectual development of all our pupils. We are proud of our academic achievements and our extensive extra and co-curricular programmes.
All of our decisions have been made with the best interests of our school community in mind, and I am excited that we are about to embark on this new chapter as part of the ILG family.”
Amit Mehta, chief executive of ILG, said: “We are delighted to welcome Derby Grammar School into the Inspired Learning Group family and very much look forward to supporting the school in providing a stimulating and highly nurturing education that enables every pupil to thrive in an ever-changing global environment”.
ILG operates 24 schools and nurseries in the UK, catering to children aged from three months to 18 years. It employs more than 1,000 staff and teaches more than 3,000 pupils.
