A temporary teacher at Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen has arrested as an investigation was launched into a video which circulated on social media, Aberdeen Live has reported.

The school, a co-educational private school for day pupils, launched an internal investigation after it was made aware of the video and has suspended the teacher involved.

Police confirmed a 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an “online communications offence”.

Robert Gordon’s College also confirmed it has referred the matter to the police in a statement following the arrest.

A school spokesperson said: “The school has been made aware of a video circulating on social media.”
